SPORTS AWARDS VOTING – OVER 12S COACH Please vote for your local sporting hero - Over 12s CoachAMY CASHAmy coached the very successful under 13C's team at Kariong United FC during the 2018 season. Amy created an excellent training program that saw consistent attendance and positive playing attitudes from her team at training and games. The 13C's trained twice a week and Amy made sure she kept the training programs challenging and interesting for her team. Their hard work and dedication was rewarded with a win in the Grand final. Amy was a fair, consistent and fun coach and the club had many comments over the season positively remarking on both Amy's ability to coach the team and her positive attitude towards coaching. No problem was too hard for Amy, at the same time as coaching the U13C's she was also a player in the womens AA 3 team at Kariong and held the Sponsorship position on the Kariong United FC Committee. She is an exceptional asset to our ClubMATTHEW ISON3 years ago the teams coach walked away from the team and left them without a coach. Matt has previously coached u6 and agreed to take on the u12’s at the time.U13 they were minor premiers and grand final winners, juggling 3 kids whilst his partner worked full time in hospitality Matt continued to grow this team. Working from set up to pack down each week and running the BBQ only stopping to coach his team, Matt has been an assest to the club and his team. This year Matt suffered the heartache of loosing his mother and grand father in the same week but still continued to be there for the boys.Presentation day he was sent away for work but still managed to be there via FaceTime to support his team, and to see his daughter accept his award as international coach of the year.TIM LEWANDOWSKITim volunteers more then his time then any other coach I know, even though he works 12 hours days and his place of employment is a 2 hour commute each way. This past representative season Tim not only coached the u16 boys team but assistant coached while mentoring the coach of the u12 girls team.He offered additional training sessions to both the u12 girls and the u16 boys teams throughout the season. As well as seasons open to any athlete wanting to development their skills.Tim would always be available to step in and help when another coach was unavailable to train or coach their team, he did this without hesitation. He was also on standby and often used to fill in for missing referees to avoid any forfeits to games.Even though Tim has a full time job, works in Muswellbrook and is a father to four children ages 10 months - 14 years he did not miss a single game of either of the teams he was involved in. All up this year it was 11 weekends of rounds, 31 games in total, some of these were double header weekends away involving travel and overnight stay. On top of that he attended the Country Basketball NSW June long weekend tournament where he traveled between Wollongong and Minto to be at as many of both the girls and boys games as he could physically get to.Working a rotating roster often saw Tim using his annual leave to be at games. Tim also attended 2 County Development Program camps this year in the April and July school holidays as a volunteer coach. These camps are 3 day / 2 night sleepover camps. As well as the BNSW u12s skills day which was a day long camp held on a Sunday. He encouraged his team's to be apart of something bigger then themselves and taught them the importance or team work and club pride.Tim does not do any of the above for praise and recognition, he simply enjoys seeing the youth of community enjoy the game he also loves and developing their skills to be able to continue to grow not only as an individual but also as a team mate and club member.I believe it is extremely important to recognise someone that has gone above and beyond their duties of their volunteer role such as Tim has. We must show recognition and appreciation to these individuals for the benefit of our regions future sporting.WILLIAM GRANGERWill Takes on no position lightly.
