📸 Scone Race Club

Works have commenced on our latest project that will see Gosford’s home turn re-cambered as well as eliminating the current reverse camber in the home straight.

The works are co-funded with @racing_nsw and forecast to cost around $2m.

Given favourable weather conditions, the works will be completed by September. The track will then be given as much time as required to establish the new turf before we recommence racing.

The track surface has always been highly regarded, however due to its configuration, the home turn has a tight radius. The camber will aim to increase competitive racing and subsequently increase race fields. The home straight will be re-graded to an even 1% fall, enabling jockeys to utilise more of the track when entering the straight.

Stay tuned for further updates on the progress of the renovation.
