GOSFORD TRAINERS PREMIERSHIP UPDATE – 22 MAY 2026
Our Gosford trainers have continued to produce some strong performances across the state over the past couple of weeks.
On 16th May 2026, Angela Davies had a solid run with Our Kobison finishing 7th in the Emirates Park Ortensia Stakes at Scone.
Gregory McFarlane enjoyed a great result with Catchy Tunes taking out 1st place in the Steve Conroy Memorial Benchmark 58 Handicap at Queanbeyan on 17th May 2026. Gregory also had a close finish with Salma’s Star running 5th in the Carlton Dry Benchmark 58 Handicap at Port Macquarie on 18th May 2026.
On 19th May 2026, Kylie Gavelock had a close finish with Thebes placing 6th in the Hungerford Hill Wine Country Cup Conditional Benchmark 68 Handicap at Newcastle.
Jake Hull also recorded some strong performances, with Diva Rouge finishing 7th in the John Oxley Motors Class 2 Handicap at Port Macquarie on 18th May 2026 and Six Foot Song running 7th in the Turfcare AUS Benchmark 64 Handicap at Hawkesbury on 21st May 2026.

GOSFORD TRAINERS PREMIERSHIP UPDATE – 14 MAY 2026
Our Gosford trainers have had some fantastic results over the past couple of weeks.
On 1st May 2026, Angela Davies celebrated a great win with Won’thearmecoming taking out the 3YO&UP Super Maiden HCP at Muswellbrook.
Jake Hull also had a strong run of results, with Six Foot Song finishing 2nd in the Midway BM64 HCP at Newcastle on 2nd May 2026, followed by Dingle Grey winning the Class 1 HCP at Quirindi on 11th May 2026.
Kylie Gavenlock enjoyed a fantastic result with Koritsi claiming 1st place in the F&M Maiden Plate at Taree on 5th May 2026.
On 9th May 2026, Nick Mitchell had a close finish with Winters Ending running 3rd in the BM50 HCP at Tuncurry.
Finishing off on our home track for our biggest race day of the year, The Coast, Neil Ward’s Stratafy produced an outstanding effort to finish 2nd in the Thunder Thousand BM78 HCP.

It’s been fantastic to have Guardian Safety Solutions on board supporting one of Gosford’s most historic races. The Gosford Gold Cup continues to build on its rich history, with Glynn Schofield still the only jockey to claim the race three times, while Jay Ford returns aboard Kind Words chasing a rare Gold Cup and Belle of the Turf double.
With $300,000 in prize money and eligibility into the Big Dance, tomorrow’s feature race is set to be one of the highlights of Coast Race Day.
