Meltdown Festival presents Rise Against with Dropkick Murphys + more
Get ready for an epic day of punk rock, chaos and crossfire as multi-Gold and Platinum rock heavyweights Rise Against headline Meltdown Festival in Gosford.

GOSFORD TRAINERS PREMIERSHIP UPDATE β 21st August 2026
Our trainers have been putting in some solid performances on the track this week. Hereβs a look at a few of the runs that caught our attention over the past seven days.
On 13 August, at Newcastle, Mark Sues secured 4th place with Miss Binman in the Port Stephens 4WD Tours Midway Maiden Handicap. Kylie Gavenlock followed closely behind, finishing 5th with Zaddicted. At the same meeting, Adam Duggan finished 6th with Argyros in the Moonshadow TQC Cruises Class 1 Handicap.
On 16 August, Mark Sues was again in the placings, with Miss Binman finishing 4th in the Brian Hilton Wyong Class 1 Handicap at Wyong.
To round out the week, Kylie Gavenlock had a strong result at Hawkesbury on 20 August, with Parthenon finishing 2nd in the Micway Midway Class 1 Handicap.
Kylie Gavenlock continues to lead the Gosford Trainers Premiership with 1 win, while our other trainers are still looking for their first win of the season. With plenty of racing still ahead, weβre looking forward to seeing who can get on the board next!

GOSFORD TRAINERS PREMIERSHIP UPDATE β 13th August 2026
The 2026/27 racing season is off and running! π
Our trainers have had some strong performances over the last week, with some impressive runs on the track. Here are a few of the standout performances weβre highlighting.
On 5 August 2026, Adam Duggan had a close finish at Canterbury, with Brown Sugar running a strong fourth in the Irresistible Pools and Spas Handicap.
The following day, racing on our home track at Gosford, Kylie Gavenlock secured her first win of the new season with Parthenon in the Coastwide Waterproofing Supplies Provincial Maiden Plate. π
Kylie also picked up a sixth-place finish with Dietrich in the Probus Club of Ettalong Conditional Benchmark 68 Handicap, while Adam Duggan also recorded a sixth with Erina in the Combined Demolition Services F&M Benchmark 64 Handicap.
On 9 August 2026, Angela Davies finished fifth with Magatama in the Hunter Thoroughbred Breeders Maiden Plate at Muswellbrook.

With another successful racing season behind us, weβre delighted to congratulate Jake Hull, winner of the 2025/26 Gosford Trainersβ Premiership! ππ
Jake claimed the Premiership with an outstanding 17 wins throughout the season. Ferinzo and Valilee led the way on the Provincial circuit with two wins apiece, contributing to a consistent and successful campaign for the stable.
Close behind was Adam Duggan, who recorded an impressive 14 wins for the season. Adam enjoyed another strong year with a talented team of runners, including Brown Sugar, who recorded wins at both Country and Provincial level.
Gregory McFarlane (13 wins) and Kylie Gavenlock (12 wins) also enjoyed excellent seasons, with both trainers recording some outstanding results. Greg, Kylie and Angela Davies also celebrated success at Metropolitan level with Zip On By and Denman Star respectively.
Nick Mitchell continued to build momentum with his stable, including wins from Smart Serenade and Winters Ending, while proud local trainer Neil Ward enjoyed a memorable season with Stratafy. The talented galloper recorded two impressive victories and a strong runner-up finish in the Thunder Thousand on The Coast Race Day.
Congratulations to all our trainers, their hardworking staff and owners on their achievements throughout the season. π
