ENTRY CRITERIA
• Must be 18 years and over
• Must have purchased a ticket & be present on The Coast Race Day on Saturday 10 May 2025. To purchase your ticket, click here.
• Must be on course at time of judging
JUDGING CRITERIA
LADIES
• A standout racewear look from head to toe and something judges haven’t seen before
• Must complement the winner’s body shape and colouring
• Attention to detail including headpiece, bag, jewellery and shoes
• Outfit must be appropriate: plunging necklines and miniskirts are not appropriate race day attire
• Gloves and stockings are not essential
• Appropriate grooming and deportment
MILLINERY MASTERPIECE
• Colour Harmony: Select a fascinator that aligns with the overall colour palette of your outfit for a cohesive look
• Style & Fabric: A fascinator whose style and material complement the formality and aesthetic of your ensemble.
• Proportions: Ensure the fascinator is proportionate to your face shape and body size, enhancing rather than overwhelming your features
• Hairstyle Compatibility: Choose a fascinator that works well with your hairstyle, particularly its length and how it frames your face
GENTLEMEN
• A standout autumn racewear look from head to toe and something judges haven’t seen before
• Gentlemen are permitted to wear trousers or chinos
• Gentlemen must wear a tie or bowtie
• Attention to detail of accessories such as cufflinks, lapel flower, hat and pocket chief may be considered
