
THE GOLDEN MOMENT – $100,000 PRIZE

Definitions
Draw means the randomised selection process conducted by or on behalf of the Promoter at the advertised time on The Coast Race Day to select Finalists from the Masterfile, using a computerised random selection process producing verifiably random results and overseen by an Independent Scrutineer.
Eligible Event(s) means the events conducted by the Promoter prior to and including The Coast Race Day, being: (a) Country Music Race Day (14 March 2026); (b) Rock at the Races (21 March 2026); (c) Anzac Day Race Day (25 April 2026); and (d) The Coast Race Day (9 May 2026), as those events may be postponed or rescheduled by the Promoter in accordance with these Terms.
Entry means a valid submission of the official online entry form (via QR code or on‑course device) completed by the Entrant in their own name during the applicable Entry Period for an Eligible Event, received by the Promoter’s systems, and compliant with these Terms (including the one entry per person per Eligible Event limit).
Entry Period means, for each Eligible Event, the time window during which Entries will be accepted as advertised by the Promoter for that event (all times being AEST/AEDT, as applicable in New South Wales).
Finalist means an Entrant whose name is drawn in the Draw, whose identity and eligibility are verified to the Promoter’s satisfaction, and who presents at the Meeting Point within the specified time.
Golden Moment means the final game conducted on The Coast Race Day in which the Finalist selects one of twenty (20) displayed horseshoes, each associated with a sealed envelope, for a chance to win the Grand Prize in accordance with these Terms.
Grand Prize means, at the winner’s election, either: (a) AUD $100,000 paid by electronic funds transfer to an Australian bank account in the winner’s name within 14 days after verification; or (b) the Vehicle Prize, subject to these Terms.
Promoter means Gosford Race Club Ltd ABN 26 003 846 124 of 4 Racecourse Road, West Gosford NSW 2250
Family of full-time staff means Employees of the promoter and their immediate family members, or anyone living in the same household. Including Partner/spouse, parents, children, siblings and the equivalent of the above as step or de facto.
Casual Staff means Someone who has accepted a shift via Gosford Race Clubs rostering system, Tanda, and is deemed as working on the day of The Coast.
Conditions of Entry means the Venue’s conditions of entry and associated policies (including responsible service of alcohol obligations), as amended from time to time and published at www.https://www.theentertainmentgrounds.com.au/terms-and-conditions/or displayed at the Venue.
Consolation Prize means the prize contained in each of the nineteen (19) non‑winning envelopes in the Golden Moment game, being two nights in the Rydges Resort in the Hunter Valley in a standard king room for two people, (date exclusions may apply) plus a private wine tasting and behind-the-scenes tour at DeBortoli Wines valued at $1,000 recommended retail price (RRP).
Entrant means a natural person aged 18 years or over who attends an Eligible Event and submits an Entry in accordance with these Terms.
Household Member means any person who ordinarily resides at the same residential address as another person for at least three (3) months immediately prior to the close of the relevant Entry Period.
ID means acceptable government issued photo identification sufficient to verify an Entrant’s identity and age (for example, a current driver licence, passport or NSW photo card). The Promoter may request reasonable additional proof of address where required..
Immediate Family means a spouse or de facto partner, parent, stepparent, guardian, child or stepchild (whether natural or by adoption), and sibling or stepsibling of a person.
Independent Scrutineer means a person or firm independent of the Promoter and of any Prize Supplier, appointed by the Promoter to oversee the Draw and finalist selection process and to provide a declaration or report of the conduct and outcome.
Masterfile means the electronic database compiled by the Promoter of all valid Entries received by the close of the relevant Entry Period(s).
Meeting Point means the on‑course location nominated by the Promoter for Finalists to present, as advertised on the day (and, where practicable, on the event webpage).
Privacy Policy means the Promoter’s privacy policy available at www.theentertainmentgrounds.com.au as amended from time to time.
Prize means the Grand Prize or a Consolation Prize, as the case requires.
Prize Pool means the total maximum RRP of all Prizes available under the Promotion, being $108,888.
Prize Supplier means any third party engaged by the Promoter to supply, deliver, fulfil or verify any element of a Prize or of the Promotion (including without limitation any authorised motor vehicle dealer(s), insurer(s), promotional agency(ies) and the Independent Scrutineer).
Terms means these Terms and Conditions governing the Promotion, as amended in accordance with these Terms and any directions of a regulatory authority.
The Coast Race Day means the race meeting branded “The Coast Race Day” scheduled to be held at the Venue on 9 May 2026, or on any postponed or rescheduled date or at any alternative venue notified by the Promoter in accordance with these Terms
The entrant – A patron of the promoter who has attended an eligible event and has submitted an entry form to the promotion.
Vehicle Prize means two motor vehicles comprising: (i) Volkswagen Tiguan 150 R‑Line [Model Year/specification/colour]; and (ii) Volkswagen T‑Roc CityLife [Model Year/specification/colour], with inclusions/exclusions and delivery arrangements as specified in clause 1.1, and with a combined RRP of $108,888 (state whether drive‑away including all on‑road costs, or list any excluded on‑road costs).
Venue means Gosford Race Club of 4 Racecourse Road, West Gosford NSW 2250
Promotion Terms & Conditions
- Promotion Overview
1.1. The Golden Moment $100,000 Prize that provides eligible patrons attending The Coast Race Day the chance to win the Grand Prize. The Grand Prize is either AUD $100,000 or the Vehicle Prize, at the winner’s election, subject to these Terms. The Vehicle Prize consists of: Volkswagen Tiguan 150 R Line MY26 Volkswagen Tiguan R Line with Sound & Vision Package, Panoramic Sunroof, Nightshade Blue Metallic. Driveaway incl. on roads + Volkswagen T-Roc City Life MY25 Volkswagen T-Roc City Life, Pure White. Driveaway incl. on roads.
Note – The cars, as noted, may be subject to change. The total maximum prize pool is $108,000.
1.2. The Promotion will be conducted in conjunction with The Coast Race scheduled at the Venue on 9 May 2026. If the date or location is varied, postponed or relocated due to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter may vary the conduct of the Promotion accordingly or cancel the Promotion if necessary, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. Any material change will be notified onsite and, where practicable, on the event webpage and/or the Promoter’s social channels.
1.3. If any prize becomes unavailable, the Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value and comparable specification, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority.
1.4. The Grand Prize is not guaranteed to be won. There is a 1 in 20 chance that the Finalist in the Golden Moment will win the Grand Prize. The remaining nineteen (19) envelopes each contain a Consolation Prize valued at $1,000 RRP.
- Eligibility
2.1. Entries to the promotion will be collected via Google Forms . All submissions are date and time-stamped on receipt. The Promoter’s records are conclusive as to the time of receipt and validity of Entries. One Entry per person per Eligible Event applies.
2.2. All duplicate incomplete, indecipherable, or ineligible Entries will be removed during data cleansing. The Google Form will be available via a unique QR code made available on the event day.
2.3. Only one (1) Entry per person per eligible event is permitted. Automated, bulk, alias or third party Entries, and Entries submitted on behalf of another person, are prohibited and will be invalid.
2.4. Directors, officers, management, employees and contractors of the Promoter, and of any Prize Supplier or agency associated with this Promotion, and their Immediate Family members and Household Members, are ineligible to enter.
2.5. Any person engaged by the Promoter or a Prize Supplier to work at any Eligible Event or at The Coast Race Day (including casual, part time or agency personnel) is ineligible to enter.
2.6. Entrants must be 18 years and over to be eligible. Acceptable ID must be produced to verify identity and age to the Promoter’s satisfaction. The Promoter may request reasonable additional verification (including proof of address).
2.7. The right to participate as a Finalist is personal to the Entrant and is not transferable.
2.8. Participation is subject to the Venue’s Conditions of Entry and responsible service of alcohol obligations. The Promoter may refuse participation to any person who is intoxicated, disorderly or poses a safety risk.
2.9. Entrants must complete the official Entry form before the advertised closing time for the relevant Eligible Event. All times are AEST/AEDT (NSW).
2.10. Entry is open to patrons who attend The Coast Race Day on 9 May 2026.
2.11. Additional entries are permitted for patrons who purchased tickets and attended either:
• Country Music Race Day (14 March 2026);
• Rock at the Races (21 March 2026); or
• Anzac Day Race Day (25 April 2026)
Provided they also attend The Coast Race Day and submit a valid Entry on that day during the advertised Entry Period.
2.12. If The Coast Race Day sells out and a patron who has submitted an entry form via attending a qualifying prior event is unable to secure an admission ticket to The Coast Race Day, their entry will be deemed void. This condition will be disclosed in promotional materials for prior Eligible Events.
2.13. An entry form for a previous event does not automatically qualify a patron for the Golden Moment draw. All entrants must also complete an entry form via Google Forms on The Coast Race Day within the advertised submission deadline to be eligible for promotion.
2.14. Entry is only open to residents of New South Wales.
2.15. Entries must be made in the Entrant’s legal name that matches their ID. The Promoter may invalidate any Entry that, in its opinion, contains false or misleading information.
- Entry Collection & Masterfile
3.1. All entries will be collected via Google Forms and compiled into the Masterfile (an electronic database).
3.2. The Masterfile will compile all valid Entries from the Eligible Event(s) in accordance with these Terms following data cleansing to remove duplicates and ineligible Entries.
3.3. All valid gate entries must be received by the advertised deadline time that will be displayed on The Coast Race Day (AEST/AEDT as applicable in NSW).
3.4. At the Promotion closing time, Entries will close. All eligible Entries will be added to the Masterfile for the Draw.
3.5. The Promoter’s decision on the validity of Entries is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
3.6. The Promoter will retain entry, Draw and prize distribution records (including scrutineer reports) for at least three (3) years.
3.7. Personal information is collected to administer the Promotion in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy at https://www.theentertainmentgrounds.com.au/terms-and-conditions/. See clause 5.14 for details.
- Prize Draw Process
4.1. At the advertised time, ten (10) Entries will be randomly selected from the Masterfile using a computerised random selection process producing verifiably random results, in the presence of an Independent Scrutineer. The Promoter will retain Draw logs and the scrutineer’s declaration.
4.2. The ten (10) Finalists names will be displayed on the Venue’s big screen (or other prominent display).
4.3. The ten (10) drawn finalists will be contacted via their nominated mobile number and must present themselves with acceptable ID at the Meeting Point within fifteen (15) minutes of the Draw notification, or such longer period as notified onsite.
4.4. If a drawn Finalist does not present within the specified timeframe or is deemed ineligible, that Entry is invalid and cannot continue in the promotion.
4.5. A minimum of five (5) presented and verified Finalists is required. If from the original ten (10) drawn names this minimum is not met, further names will be randomly drawn and contacted until five (5) eligible Finalists are present.
4.6. At the specified time, the finalists will participate in the trophy selection process.
4.7. In order of being randomly drawn, each Finalist will choose one trophy (one of which is the winning trophy) to determine who progresses to The Golden Moment.
4.8. Only one (1) finalist can win the chance for the Golden Moment.
4.9. The winning finalist will choose from twenty (20) displayed horseshoes, all of which have an associated sealed envelope.
4.10. The Finalist will open the envelope to reveal if they have won the Golden Moment (the chance to play for the Grand Prize).
4.11. The Finalist can only choose one horseshoe. Once a selection is confirmed, it be changed. Any interference or tampering will void participation.
4.12. If a Finalist withdraws, is disqualified or fails to participate in any round, the Promoter may conduct a further Draw on the day to select a replacement Finalist.
4.13. If a technical failure prevents use of the planned computerised Draw, the Promoter may conduct a manual random Draw (e.g., barrel draw) under the supervision of the Independent Scrutineer.
- General Conditions
5.1. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of Entries and Entrants and to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or submits an Entry not in accordance with these Terms.
5.2. To the extent permitted by law and subject to any directions from a regulatory authority, the Promoter may vary, postpone, suspend or cancel the Promotion (including any Draw) if events beyond its reasonable control occur that materially affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion. Any material change will be notified onsite and, where practicable, on the event webpage and/or the Promoter’s social channels.
5.3. By entering, Entrants agree to participate in reasonable promotional activity, photography and broadcast coverage associated with the event and consent to the Promoter using their name, suburb, likeness and image for such purposes in any media without further compensation, subject to the Privacy Policy.
5.4. The Promoter’s decision in relation to all aspects of the Promotion is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
5.5. If a patron fails to submit an entry prior to the advertised deadline, that patron will not be eligible for the promotion.
5.6. The Promoter may alter the deadline for entries where reasonably necessary. Any change will be communicated onsite and, where practicable, via the event webpage and/or the Promoter’s social channels.
5.7. The Promoter is not responsible for any costs incurred by the winner to collect or receive a Prize unless expressly stated otherwise in these Terms. For the Vehicle Prize, [drive away: all on road costs are included] [or: on road costs (including stamp duty, CTP, registration and dealer delivery) and insurance are the winner’s responsibility]. The winner is responsible for ongoing costs (including fuel, maintenance and insurance) from delivery.
5.8. If the winner opts for the cash prize, payment will be paid by EFT to an Australian bank account in the winner’s name within fourteen (14) days after verification and receipt of valid bank details.
5.9. Nothing in these Terms limits, excludes or modifies any consumer guarantees, rights or remedies under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be limited, excluded or modified. Subject to the foregoing and to the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss, damage or injury (including without limitation consequential loss) suffered as a result of participating in the Promotion or accepting a Prize.
5.10. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for technical, hardware or software failures, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete or delayed Entries due to technical problems or any other reason beyond the Promoter’s control.
5.11. By entering this promotion, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
5.12. Tax and financial implications may arise from winning a prize and winners should seek independent tax and financial advice before accepting. The promoter is not responsible for any such advice.
5.13. These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. The parties submit to the non exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of NSW.
5.14. The Promoter collects personal information to administer the Promotion, verify eligibility, conduct the Draw, contact Finalists/winners and for reasonable publicity. The Promoter may disclose personal information to Prize Suppliers and service providers (including Google, which may host data outside Australia) for these purposes. The Privacy Policy at https://www.theentertainmentgrounds.com.au/terms-and-conditions/explains how Entrants may access and correct their information and how complaints are handled. Marketing communications will only be sent if the Entrant has opted in and may be opted out at any time.

5.16. Participation is subject to the Venue’s Conditions of Entry and responsible service of alcohol obligations. The Promoter may refuse participation to any person who is intoxicated, disorderly or poses a safety risk.
5.17. Vehicle brand names are trade marks of their respective owners and are used for prize description only. No sponsorship, affiliation or endorsement is implied unless expressly stated.
5.18. The Promoter will retain all required records relating to the Promotion (including Entry lists, Draw logs, scrutineer reports and prize fulfilment records) for at least three (3) years.
- How it Works
6.1. A QR code linking to the Google Form will be presented at the Venue for each Eligible Events. Patrons, including members, must scan the code and submit an Entry. On-Venue devices will be available on course for patrons to also utilise.
6.2. An Independent Scrutineer will be engaged on the day to oversee the Draw and finalist selection process and will provide a declaration/report of conduct and outcome. The Promoter may also engage an insurer or loss adjuster in connection with the prize.
6.3. Once Entries close, the Masterfile will be cleansed to remove duplicates, incomplete and ineligible Entries.
6.4. Ten (10) names will be drawn by using a computerised random selection process producing verifiably random results, in the presence of the Independent Scrutineer. The results will be displayed on the big screen thereafter.
6.5. Drawn Entrants will have twenty (20) minutes from announcement to present at the Meeting Point (as displayed onsite and, where practicable, on the event webpage). The Promoter will also make reasonable attempts to contact drawn Entrants via their nominated mobile number. Acceptable ID is required.
6.6. A minimum of five (5) winning entrants must be presented and approved to conduct the second phase of the competition, being the trophy selection.
6.7. If there are fewer than five (5) approved entrants, a further person will be drawn via the method as shown in 6.4. Any further person drawn will have five (5) minutes to present themselves; redraws will continue until five (5) validated Finalists are present. This process will continue until the minimum requirement of five (5) winning entrants is achieved.
6.8. Finalist Selection:
6.8.1. At a pre-advertised time, the finalists will participate in a selection process whereby one will progress to The Golden Moment.
6.8.2. A number of horse trophies equal to the number of Finalists will be presented in a designated area on the racecourse.
6.8.3. Each trophy will have a sliding panel covering text indicating either the Golden Moment chance or a non winning message.
6.8.4. In Draw order, each Finalist will choose one trophy.
6.8.5. Once all trophies have been chosen, the Finalists will remove the panels and the Golden Moment winner will be revealed.
6.9. The Golden Moment winner will then choose one (1) of twenty (20) displayed horseshoes, each with a sealed envelope attached.
6.10. The chosen envelope will be opened to reveal the Prize. One (1) envelope contains the Grand Prize; the remaining nineteen (19) envelopes each contain a Consolation Prize, refer to definitions RRP.
6.11. If the Grand Prize is won, the winner may choose either AUD $100,000 or the Vehicle Prize. If the Vehicle Prize is selected, delivery/collection will be arranged with the Prize Supplier within [60] days of winner verification, subject to stock and logistics. Title passes on delivery/collection. The winner is responsible for [confirm: insurance from delivery and any excluded on road costs].
6.12. If the Finalist fails to select a horseshoe when required, a replacement Finalist may be selected in accordance with clause 4.12. After the Golden Moment concludes, the Independent Scrutineer may open a control envelope to reveal which horseshoe contained the Grand Prize (if not won).
