Welcome to the June edition of our monthly newsletter from The Entertainment Grounds. We are pleased to bring you all of the news from The EG, from upcoming race days, events, trainers, functions and events.
The Entertainment Grounds is delighted to announce the 2018 / 2019 Gosford Racing Calendar featuring a new look Summer Series and Central Coast Carnival as well as an additional Saturday race day in the mix. VIEW 2018/19 RACE CALENDAR
Last month The Entertainment Grounds hosted an array of events including the Terrigal Wamberal Rugby League Football Club Race Day, Pandora Race Day, a number of corporate events, a trade exhibition, even a school talent show!
The Terrigal Wamberal Rugby League Football Club Race Day was held on Saturday 26th May and featured a strong eight race lineup and a number of local trainers competing. It has been a number of years since Gosford has seen a Saturday Race Day in the May and the weather could not be faulted with a beautiful, sunny 20 degree day! Just over 1,100 guests including a number of families, joined us for the live racing action, hospitality packages, live music and kids entertainment provided on the day. A free shuttle bus service was offered, operating between Gosford Train Station, Central Coast Stadium and The Entertainment Grounds. The Roosters V Titans NRL Game was held on the same afternoon at Central Coast Stadium, so ticket holders were offered free entry to the race day to entice them to both events.
The Pandora Race Day held on Thursday 31st May was unusually busy, with a number of seniors groups taking advantage of the $38.50 Lakeview Hospitality Package as well as the Pandora Committee taking six out of eight race sponsorships for the day. Moneywise also reserved a large area in the Lakeview Room.
The first weekend of June was a hive of activity for The Entertainment Grounds with the launch of the Aussie Nightmarkets on Friday 1st which saw around 4,000 guests come and enjoy the delicious flavours and sites of over 50 food trucks and boutique stalls. Although the night brought the first of the winter chills, it didn’t seem to stop the crowds coming through. The Aussie Nightmarkets will be held at The Entertainment Grounds on the first Friday of every month from 5pm to 10pm.
Sydney Comedy Club returned to The EG on Saturday 2nd June with a SOLD OUT show! Featuring hilarious comedians Julia Wilson, Cameron James and Darren Sanders. Over 200 guests filled the Panorama Lounge for a night of laughs and delicious platters. The next comedy night will be held on Saturday 14th July featuring Peter Meisel, Rowan Thambar and Alan Glover. A Members Special offering $15 tickets (normally $25 for pre-sale) will run for a limited time only, so don’t miss out!
