Welcome to the July edition of our monthly newsletter from The Entertainment Grounds. We are pleased to bring you all of the news from The EG, from upcoming race days, events, trainers, functions and events.
As mentioned in last month’s Newsletter, the Aussie Nightmarkets made a debut at The Entertainment Grounds on the 1st Friday in June. We welcomed the Nightmarkets return on Friday 6th July with around 8,000 guests filling the grounds and their bellies with amazing street food and desserts. The next Aussie Nightmarkets event will be held on Friday 3rd August from 5pm to 10pm.
After a sold out comedy event in June, the Sydney Comedy Club returns to The Entertainment Grounds on Saturday 14th July with a stellar lineup featuring Peter Meisel, Rowan Thambar and Alan Glover. For the first time, we are offering members a special price on comedy tickets – $15 tickets (normally $25 for pre-sale). The Entertainment Grounds rounded out the financial year, hosting a number of functions and events including the RushSports Race Day, a meeting and luncheon for the Gosford / Coastal Chamber of Commerce, ‘Rock the Chopper’ Trivia Night supporting Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, Sydney North Cross Country along with a number of conferences and business meetings.
The RushSports Race Day held on Thursday 14th June featured a couple of local trainers competing. Gosford trainer Neil Ward had a comfortable win in the Diverse Building and Co. Maiden Handicap with three year old gelding Emperor Harada taking the win. Luke Hilton’s ‘She Excites’ rounded out the top three in the Dach Constructions Benchmark 65 Handicap. Congratulations to all winning connections.
The early bird membership special has now finished and renewals have reverted to $59 (or $128 for Member & Guest Membership). Thank you to all members who renewed during the early bird period and for your patience during this busy time. The Entertainment Grounds will accept membership renewals up until 31st August 2018.
